1. PURPOSE

The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to ensure a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all participants, parents, coaches, staff, referees, and facility users.

Enrollment in Vanguard Football Lab – Soccer Academy requires that all players and parents/guardians agree to the following expectations.

2. PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

As a player, I agree to the following:

1. Respect for Others

  • Treat coaches, teammates, referees, and opponents with respect.

  • Use positive language at all times.

  • No swearing, bullying, teasing, insults, or threats.

2. Effort & Attitude

  • Arrive on time, properly dressed, and ready to train.

  • Try my best in all drills and activities.

  • Accept coaching feedback and decisions.

3. Safety

  • Follow all coach instructions immediately.

  • Avoid dangerous play, rough behaviour, or intentional fouls.

  • Report any injuries or hazards to a coach right away.

4. Sportsmanship

  • Show respect after practices and scrimmages.

  • Win with humility and lose with maturity.

5. Zero-Tolerance Behaviours (Immediate Consequences)

The following may result in suspension or removal without refund:

  • Fighting or intentionally harming another player

  • Bullying, harassment, discrimination, or hate speech

  • Damaging facility property or equipment

  • Persistent disrespect toward coaches or staff

3. PARENT/GUARDIAN CODE OF CONDUCT

As a parent/guardian, I agree to the following:

1. Respectful Behaviour

  • Speak respectfully to coaches, referees, staff, parents, and players.

  • Avoid yelling, arguing, or negative sideline behaviour.

2. Sideline Conduct

  • Allow coaches to coach.

  • Do not shout instructions at players.

  • Do not argue with referees, staff, or other parents.

3. Support for My Child

  • Encourage effort, development, and enjoyment—not only winning.

  • Ensure my child arrives on time and prepared for sessions.

4. Communication with the Academy

  • Raise concerns calmly and privately (in person or by email).

  • Allow 24–48 hours for non-urgent responses.

5. Zero-Tolerance Behaviours (Immediate Consequences)

The following may result in removal of the player from the program without refund:

  • Verbal or physical abuse toward staff, referees, players, or parents

  • Threats, intimidation, or harassment

  • Repeated refusal to follow academy policies

4. DISCIPLINARY PROCESS

Depending on severity, Vanguard Football Lab – Soccer Academy may apply:

  1. Verbal warning to player/parent

  2. Temporary removal from activity

  3. Written notice or meeting with parent

  4. Suspension from one or more sessions

  5. Program removal without refund

The academy reserves the right to skip steps and move directly to suspension or dismissal for serious misconduct.

By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the Vanguard Football Lab Code of Conduct.
